River revitalization for fish
Szarowski, Marcin ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The case study provided for this bachelor’s thesis is based on the issue of rehabilitation of rivers for fish. The first part contains the recherché and the second part conceptual design. Substance of the revitalization is restoration of rivers to natural form. The thesis describes typical landscaping measures suitable for complex treatment of rivers in Czech Republic. Main benefit of revitalization is aquatic improvements in our rivers. The second section of this work includes examples of problem solution on the river Svratka.
The possibilitis of revitalization transverse obstacles in the flow
Plhák, Jiří ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The case study provided for this bachelor’s thesis is based on the issue of transvers obstacles in a flow. For the purpose of this bachelor’s thesis I decided to split this outcome into two parts as the recherché and conceptual design, and then describe each issue based on my further research. The first section is accorded to an issue with revitalization of the flow in the Czech Republic. There are topics such as adjustment of the flow, river-basin and accompanying vegetation related to an issue with revitalization. This also involves transverse obstacles in a flow which could cause a migration barrier for the fish. This could become critical when it comes to a partial restriction or total restriction of basic that fish need for survive. Both food migration and a reproduction migration could be affected. To finish the recherché off, I described an actions needed to implement the watercourses and improve on patency of the transverse obstacles. The thesis also includes examples of problem solution directly related to transverse obstacles. The part of river Svitava is 11 km long and consists of six weirs. I researched and described current condition of the each weir and then suggested an action required to improve on their function.
Fish passes and their role in landscape and ecosystem management
Míka, Martin ; Horký, Pavel (advisor) ; Kuříková, Pavlína (referee)
Fishways are devices intended to restore fish migration through the transverse obstacles in fragmented flows. Basic types of fish passages can be divided into technical and close to nature. Technical as cellular or crevice between the close to nature can include, for example, a bypass channel or boulder ramps. Close to nature fishways are suitable not only for Migration wider range of species and the size of fish, but they are preferable as landscape elements in urban landscapes. Can be recommended to be close to nature when crossing streams fragmented preferred, although not necessarily their use, for example, due to space constraints at a particular location possible.

Ichthyofauna of selected sections of the Jizera basin
CHYTRÝ, Martin
Rivers fragmentation by migration barriers has a significant negative effect on native fish communities and other river organisms. That is the reason why there has been put a lot of emphasis on creating fish pass in rivers in recent years. Between the years 2012 and 2013 there were carried out investigations on the new slit fish pass on the Jizera River in Turnov. The aim was to assess the technical realization of the construction of fish pass and functionality for local ichthyofauna. Primarily we have focused on hydraulic conditions in the fish pass (water flow, velocity, level differences in all chambers). During the fish pass technical inspection the fish was being caught by electric aggregate. The species composition of fish was also measured in the weir. Catching weir was used to catch the counter-migrating fish through the fish pass. The caught fish was taken its body length in mm and weight in grams and subsequently was calculated numerical dominance, diversity and evenness. There were 519 pieces of fish caught weighing 6.395 kg in total. There was confirmed presence of 10 species of fish in the fish pass, while in the weir were found 3 more species of fish and 1 species of lamprey. Reproductive migration was confirmed for brown trout and minnow. Roach, dace, perch and chub have settled down in the resting chambers permanently. There have been found several defects in the fish pass. There have been found large differences between the levels of chambers, high flow rates, reduced light penetration of the water in the fish pass, lack of entry attractiveness of the fish pass and non-minimum residual flows. Fish passage is considerably clogged by suspended dirt and the cleaning possibility is limited. Functionality and selectivity of the fish passage has not been demonstrated. There will be further investigations carried out in 2013.
Antropogenní tlaky na stav půd‚ vodní zdroje a vodní ekosystémy v české části mezinárodního povodí Labe: Vliv eutrofizace, průtokového režimu a změn geomorfologie koryta na prostorovou distribuci společenstev ryb v povodí řeky Labe
Výzkumný ústav vodohospodářský T.G. Masaryka, v.v.i., Praha ; Musil, Jiří ; Demeke, Shiferaw ; Slavík, Ondřej ; Horký, Pavel
Biologické a ekologické nároky ryb - určující faktory funkčnosti rybích přechodů
Ostravská univerzita v Ostravě ; Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích ; Ústav biologie obratlovců AV ČR, v.v.i., Brno ; Lusk, Stanislav
Cílem projektu je na základě vědeckých poznatků o biologii a ekologii jednotlivých druhů ryb specifikovat jejich nároky na exteriér a interiér rybích přechodů z hlediska jejich maximální funkčnosti. V roce 2007 byly posouzeny cílové objekty, kde by mělo probíhat sledování funkčnosti zvolených rybích přechodů. Byly vybrány objekty v rámci povodí Odry, povodí Moravy a Dyje, Vltavy a Labe.

Vliv eutrofizace bude identifikován se změnou prostředí (kanalizace koryta, opevnění břehů, výstavby příčných překážek) a globální změnou klimatu (předpokládané zvýraznění průtokových extrémů – sucho a záplavy). V roce 2007 byly provedeny odběry vzorků juvenilních ryb, byla zahájena terénní fáze studie energetické bilance ryb, studie chování vztahu predátor x kořist (bolen, ouklej) v kanalizovaném toku (úsek Ústí nad Labem – Děčín). Byl realizován experimentální žlabu a jeho vybavení systémem značek a snímačů chování ryb, tzv. pasivních integrátorů (PITags).
